Located in Blenheim with access from Severne Street.
Sheps’ Park is a rural type reserve in an urban environment. The Park is owned by the QEII trust and managed by Marlborough District Council.
Previous owners of the property, Lloyd and Joy Shepard (now deceased), lived on the property from the early 1950s to early 2000s and had a desire to protect the property and create a public reserve for the people of Blenheim. In recognition of the generous bequest by the late Lloyd and Joy Shepard the park is known as "Sheps' Park".
With the foundation of large walnuts and gums the park has been further enhanced with plantings of both native, and fruit and nut trees. A natural playground has been created with logs, and a new walking track around the bounds of the park is popular, as are the naturally formed picnic tables. There is a toilet onsite, and a centrally located car park for ease of access to all facilities in the park.
