Description

Memorial Park is in two parts, the large flat area to the north was once a tidal lagoon. Rowing regattas were a regular event on the lagoon with the Victoria Domain creating a natural grandstand. However, in 1950 the area was reclaimed and became part of the Victoria Domain War Memorial Park.

The second part of the park gives access to the marina, Shelly Beach, Picton Foreshore, Waikawa Foreshore and Victoria Domain.

The main part of the reserve is a dog exercise area, however, dogs must be on-leash on the formed path of the entranceway.
